Sit-on-top kayaks are definitely your best choice if you have limited training or experience with sea kayaking. They are extremely durable, difficult to capsize, and the open deck allows for easier entry and exit.
These super stable kayaks have comfortable seat backs, and a 500 pound carrying capacity which can easily accommodate two adults or one adult and a small child or a pet. Our sit-on-top kayaks convert quickly from a tandem kayak to a single kayak, so if you prefer to paddle your own boat then you have that option available. Larger paddlers, and folks with limited experience will appreciate the hassle free entry and exit of a sit-on-top kayak. Without a deck and cockpit to get in the way you can just sit right down and off you go!
Your sit-on-top kayak rentals are located in Bowman Bay in beautiful Deception Pass State Park, giving you easy access to explore the protected bay area and north along the coastline. We launch right from the beach, so make sure you're wearing shoes that can get wet!
When you are finished with your SUP rental, you can explore the trails, beaches, Deception Pass bridge, and everything else this state park has to offer!"

Equipment Pickup/Return Directions: 4399 Bomwan Bay Road
Kayak rentals are available from 9:00am, with prior reservations, or from 12:00pm for walk-up customers. All rentals must be returned by the agreed upon time. Late returns will incur an additional $50 fee. (Please note: If you might be late then please call us. We will be concerned about your well-being, and if we feel the need to begin any search and rescue operations then any of those fees will be charged to you as well.)
Blue Otter Outfitters requires that participants sign a Release Form and Rental Agreement prior to participation.
